Two Phoenix rail crossings would get more than $7 million for major improvements

In Arizona, Washington will provide more than $7 million to install gate arms to protect rail crossings and other improvements at rail crossings at 43rd and Camelback and 19th and McDowell in Phoenix. The city will need to come up with a 30 percent match on the project, or more than $3 million, according to federal officials.
